Philipp Bernhardt, originally from Braunschweig, Germany, studied Jazz Drums at Folkwang Hochschule, Germany and later at the City College Of New York where he studied with John Riley and Jamey Haddad.
After five years in the city, Bernhardt made the move to Berlin.
He toured Europe as well as Asia and the US with musical projects of different genres.
Some of the Festivals he played include: Wacken WOA (Germany),  Ulrichsberger Kaleidophon (Austria), Ai Confini tra Sardegna e Jazz (Sardegna) and Lowlands Festival (Netherlands).
Bernhardt performed with Ron Carter, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Eddie Daniels, Alan Bern, Joan Baez, Gene Pritsker, Heliocentric Counterblast, MR ZARKO, Fanfara Kalashnikov, the MDR Radio Symphony Orchestra under Kristjan Järvi  and the Absolute Ensemble for Tom Tykwers Film Production Babylon Berlin.

Enja Yellowbird, Asphalt Tango, Oriente, Chin Chin Records, Timba Records and Sketis Records.
